PLT’s Online Community

Project Learning Tree has launched an online professional learning community to help educators learn from each other and improve their teaching using PLT and environmental education. At http://connect.plt.org, teachers can strengthen their content knowledge, share teaching strategies, and connect with other educators across the country to exchange ideas and resources. In addition, you can download some PLT secondary activities, namely, PLT’s Biotechnology Supplement, a complementary resource to PLT’s Focus on Risk module, and the activities that make up PLT’s Exploring Environmental Issues: Biodiversity secondary module.
Project Learning Tree’s new Online Community for Educators provides a secure avenue for educators nationwide to connect with each other, and with PLT workshop facilitators, their state PLT program coordinator, and PLT staff, to learn more about how best to integrate PLT and environmental education into classrooms and the outdoors.
Whether you’re new to PLT or a veteran, PLT’s online community provides another opportunity for you to further your professional development; discuss issues pertaining to environmental education; join and form groups related to professional development topics; and chat with educators across the country and around the world. The community also allows users to create their own blogs, and to start or join discussion threads.
